WARDROBE STAPLES: Clothing Edition

Hey Loves,

Today I am sharing with you my wardrobe-essentials. I am a huge fashion lover, and getting new clothes is SO exciting, but purchasing a staple is the ultimate score. A staple is something that lasts in your closet for years and years (hopefully, anyways!) so it's important to choose these wisely. Considering everyone is in a different financial situation, I'll include investment pieces and budget-friendly alternatives, so ENJOY!

P.S. None of these links are affiliate links, and I am not sponsored by any of these brands. Just want to share my favorites!

CLASSIC, WHITE BUTTON-UP

This is something I am also still on the hunt for. Personally, I like a more oversized fit when it comes to any top, and a white button-up can work so many ways. This can be worn alone with denim, dressed-up with a skirt, underneath a sweater, even as a dress (if it's long enough!). The options are honestly endless.

YOUR CONFIDENCE JEANS

Another important staple: denim jeans. If you don't have a pair of denim that fits you like a glove, IT'S TIME TO GET SERIOUS AND GO ON THE HUNT. As you probably know, a good pair of jeans can be paired with just about anything, so finding the style that works best for you is crucial. Personally, I love a good medium-wash, high-waisted number (depending on the day either skinny or mom-style). Don't get discouraged either if you can't find your perfect pair because this definitely takes time.

PLAIN WHITE (or black) TEE

Probably the easiest thing to find is a plain tee. EVERY brand has their own version, so it's just about your preference. Again, I am an oversized-fanatic, so I always opt for a boxy or boyfriend-style tee. This is definitely something you can invest in (so many brands have high-quality ones), but I like to go on the cheaper side to swap mine out every few seasons to have a nice, refreshed basic.

Investment piece: Uncle Studios Perfect Crewneck $65 CAD

Budget-friendly: NastyGal Face the Facts Basic Relaxed Tee (both white and black are on sale for 5€!)

SIMPLE DRESS

Harder to narrow down, but still very important nonetheless! A classic, simple dress is a must. Depending on your personal style, this can really be anything. Whether it be a mini, midi, or maxi, you can also get wear out of it year-round. Have a mini dress you want to wear in the winter? Throw on tights and boots and a cozy sweater over top! This also works with layering tighter turtlenecks underneath for a more fitted silhouette. One of my favorites is a slip dress. They are so elegant, but can also be worn casually; the perfect dress!

Besides the links I included, there are plenty of brands that offer so many great basics! Just keep your eye out for your favorites.
